Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox made it through on the stipend of a student, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox made the decision to alter her profession after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience and lack of talent the same way as other Royal Academy students. Lennox played the flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. The band did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. From 1977 to 1980, she was the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British pop group. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed The duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work with Diva in 1992, her first solo album. The album garnered a lot of praise by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let you go... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independent album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25, 1954. Following a modest recognition as part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. In 1992, Lennox launched a solo career by releasing their debut record Diva which yielded numerous successful tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs like No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own, plus one compilation album are at her disposal. |
