Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher while her mother was a stay-at-home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was a gifted entertainer and singer at a young age. She perform shows using puppets for the neighbors. In the year she turned six, McCormick was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether she was interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick was hired to star in her first major role in 1964 in an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show Wind It Up And It breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the youngest daughter of the trio of towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. We would've had a relationship, said she. However, the timing was not the right time.
